update for mayishness and june

Well may came and gone.. nothing to spectacular going on in our world. Ok maybe there are a few things.... first off we figured out why our child has screamed in the car nonstop for 5 and 1/2 months (well it was 5 1/2 months at the end of april) anyways. The lady that does my hair in Farmington was telling me about a chiropractor in Layton that adjusts babies that come out of the birth canal wrong and or are yanked out of the birth canal (which Hadlee was by forceps). Anyways, I don't really believe in chiropractors, i think personally that its all hooblah that they can cure people with as little schooling as they have but i was seriously willing to try anything at this point. So i made the appointment and i took Hadlee in with my mom. The chiropractor assessed her spine and ran his 2 fingers down it waiting for her to jolt which would indicate a problem spot. He found nothing. So once again i was like "great, what a waste of time, i knew it was too good to be true." Well he then stripped her carseat material off and inspected the carseat and indeed there was a problem. The foam that runs down and is underneath the fabric on the carseat only went down part way which left a huge bulge at the end which dug right into her lumbar/tailbone area. He suggested that we pad it with foam when we get home and on the way home to pad it with diapers or something. He even suggested getting a different carseat so that hadlee didn't associate crying with the carseat that she has had since birth. Well, anyways when we got back to my moms house we padded it with felt and diapers so that i could make the trek home. Hadlee screamed the whole ENTIRE way home to provo. I was in tears when i got home because i had listened to her scream for an hour and fifteen minutes and i was at my wits end. I told andrew "well that was a waste, because obviously that was not the problem." Well the next day was a completely different story. I had a few errands to run, and i was dreading it because i try to avoid the car AT ALL TIMES because its so wearing with her screaming. I put her in her carseat and got in the car and left and i waited the 5 minutes which it usually takes for her to start screaming....nothing.... not a peep.... i looked in the mirror and she was asleep! I was completely shocked! Anyways to make a long story short, It has been like that ever since! SO HAPPY! She is seriously a much happier baby. Maybe month 5 was the magic number? we will never know. She is a very smart and funny baby as well. She now knows how to stick out her tongue and mimics it when another person does it. She is always laughing and smiling and just gah! So cute!! She is def a daddy's girl....she has andrews head, toes and lips. so fun! :)

Andrew has officially transferred schools since uvu royally messed everything up. They dropped all of his classes after he had registered on time, and claimed that it was just a "jolt in the system" and that there was nothing that they could do. So now andrew is not going to school for the summer semester because when he tried to register again at uvu before transferring to weber all of his classes were filled. yay go us. This always happens to us i swear. Every time we are so close to something so great (like graduation) Some "fluke" thing happens that was an "accident" or an "stupid oopsy."And yes i have spent many nights frustrated and crying because he was supposed to graduate in april 2014, but now it will be delayed until august 2014. I guess the reason i was so upset and still am upset is because i was looking forward to him being done with school so that we can get into a house and be established. But i guess heavenly father has a different plan? maybe?

May also was our 3year anniversary! We didn't really do anything spectacular... we went to dinner and to the driving range which was super fun, and a good stress reliever! here are some of our pics.

update/ramblings

What a fun month we have had! We started it out with going to cousin Cannon's 1st birthday party in Rexburg! Cant believe he is 1! That went by way fast!! :) It was good to see family and be with everyone! Hadlee also got to go swimming for the first time at the hotel we stayed at! She loved it! We thought she would since she LOVES bath time, and sure enough we were right! She enjoyed getting in the pool with Andrew, ( i was so not getting in 4 months pp). ;) But i have been working out since the beginning of March, so hopefully by July i will not feel so much like an elephant to get into a swimsuit at Lava :)  I just ordered the cutest swimsuit, so hopefully!  Other good news, we found another track to run at! So happy! Its a little further then we would like to go, but thats just how it is until the one thats by our house gets finished! :) We of course have been studying like crazy lately. I seriously cant wait for this anatomy class to be over with. I am taking organic chem in the summer, so by fall i will be applying again, and then if i don't get in again, then i will take microbiology and apply again in March. I want to just get all the nursing requirements done with so that when im in the program i can just focus on the nursing courses. It should be interesting since Hadlee will be 1 by then! Speaking of Hadlee, she rolled over today for the very first time ALL BY HERSELF! We were so happy! The only problem is she has not figured out how to roll back over from her tummy to her back, so she cries out to us to help her turn back over haha. Its pretty funny. :) On to other ramblings, we had a pretty good day at church today. Our lesson in relief society was on trials, and faith during those trials. I was sitting listening and then the roll book came to me, I marked by my name, and then i of course thumbed through to see who was moving and who was expecting. I noticed in the front part of the book there was a little card that had a pic of a couple in our ward on it, and words that said "we are adopting." I took a card to look at and passed the roll book on. I scanned the room to see if i could see the girl that was on the card (because we don't really know our ward that well of people by name), and sure enough she was sitting right in front of me. I put the card in my purse and started listening to the lesson again. I was so surprised to hear all the women in the ward that had been through some pretty hard trials. Mostly people just used examples from other peoples lives not their own, but the lady that was teaching the lesson i noticed was pregnant. She began to talk about how hard it was for her to get pregnant and i thought, how interesting that this girl in front of me just barely put these cards in the binder and this lady is talking about pregnancy. Anyways, to make a long story short, as soon as this lady turned her wants and needs over to the lord, a month later, she was pregnant. After relief society i came home and looked up the blog that was on the back of this adopting couple in our wards card, i read this cute girls infertility story. Her mom took her to the dr. at the young age of 14 because she had not started her period and her mom was concerned. The dr. did tests and said that everything was fine. At age 16 her mom took her back to the dr. because her period still had not started and anyways, to make another long story short, she found out in college that her ovaries had already gone through menopause and that she had no eggs left. She of course told her husband when they were dating but that didn't change a thing he still wanted to marry her even though she could not have babies. So now they are adopting. :) I  seriously felt like crap after reading her story. I had been so fortunate to get pregnant so fast and easy, and yet i complained through most of my pregnancy because i was so sick, fat, and at 34 weeks i got PUPPS. I love lessons like these that make me realize other people have it a LOT worse than i do, even at the moment i think my trials are the absolute worst. I would not trade my trials for anyone else's, ever, and im so grateful for being able to have children and not having to worry about having a hard time getting preggers. Its so true that their are specific trials for specific people in this world, and that we also need to be mindful of others around us when we are 'complaining' about how hard our lives are. Its not saying that im not going to complain, because i will, i will just learn to be more grateful. Anywho... those are my ramblings!

jibber jabber.....

What a week. First, i noticed that hadlee was touching her ears a lot, which usually means an ear infection, so i took her to the dr. just to make sure. Sure enough i was right, her left ear is super infected (poor babes!) She was super grumpy for the first 3 days until the antibiotic kicked in, thank heavens, i was so glad to see that she was getting relief! This might be TMI, but they said that she has so much wax in her ears, they might have to help her get it out. :( It also makes for rough sleeping at night. We struggle so much getting her to sleep at night consistently. I don't expect her to sleep through the night yet, considering she is only 4 tiny months old, but she sometimes does not even go 2 hrs. Andrew usually ends up sleeping with her in the recliner. We pile blankets and pillows around it, so that she is safely snuggled in his arms. She always sleeps good that way, and i know all of you that are reading this are like "thats a baaaad habit", but until you have had a tough baby that doesn't take naps, and wont sleep at night, (im saying this very politely) you don't know what your talking about! :) I see posts on facebook all the time about " my baby slept from 10pm til 7am"! and it makes me think "yay, good for you, so glad that you could share that with everyone on facebook, and just rub it in further." I am grateful that i have a fussy baby because like i have said before, when she grows out of it, she will be a happier baby because she received that much more love. :) Anyways, i took my 11th test for this anatomy class i am taking at WSU, and o my lands. It took me 3 weeks to study for it, flash cards, pictures etc. It was on the limbic system, and all the cranial nerves. Can i just say that i hate it when a professor makes a review sheet, i make flashcards out of it, and then i get to the test and none of the stuff that was on the review is on the test?? So frustrating!! I seriously cant wait til i am done with this part of school. lol It does take some work, considering i only do my hw and studying at night when hadlee is sleeping, or shall i say, me and andrew both do our hw at night when she's sleeping. :) I have also started the One tree hill tv series again, i am attempting to get Andrew into it, and so far it has turned out pretty good haha. There are some episodes that ya have to skip of course, (little naughty ones), but at least we can watch ONE tv show that we both like. haha seriously, all andrew ever wants to watch when he is taking a break is sports, sports and more sports, i don't get it, what boy would want to do that. ;) I just am not that sporty of a girl i guess. I played soccer in like 3rd grade and my dad pulled me out because all i did was just stand around in the middle of the field, (lets face it, i was scared of the ball). haha. So ya, thats the extent of the sportiness in me. Thats pretty much the extent of our week, nothing to fancy shmancy to write about!

we are baaaack...

Yep, its us again! we are back to give this blogging thing another try a year later. lol Lots has happened in a year since i got rid of our blog. The biggest of them all was welcoming our sweet babe Hadlee Mae in November 2012. What a neat experience that was! :) She is for surely a little fire cracker just like her mamma. I honestly have never met a baby who hates her carseat, stroller etc. She is a very fussy baby, but she is getting lots happier as she gets older. She is almost 4 months!! It seriously went by so fast! Anywho... Me and Andrew are still going to school. so fun ;) He will graduate in April 2014 with his bachelors in exercise science and i am applying again this September for the nursing program at Weber State University. I applied last February, but didn't get in. It takes a minimum of 3 times applying before they really even consider your application anyways, since there is such a long waiting list. I would of applied last Fall, but when i found out i was pregnant last March and then getting further into the pregnancy and realizing how much lovely puking i was doing, i thought maybe its a good idea to wait a year before applying again. :) And that turned out to be a pretttty dang darn good idea because i was not done with morning sickness until 24 weeks ha! It has honestly worked out so well with everything. Its all just kinda fallin into place. I quit last August at IHC as a tech on mom/baby, labor &delivery and pediatrics for more reasons than one. One reason was the fact that i was so HUGE at 24 weeks and the 12 hr shifts were KILLER. But me and andrew had discussed it and we thought it would be best for me to be a stay at home mom. I had always wanted that! The tech position was great, it honestly taught me so much in the year and a half that i worked there, but i also learned that they get to do the job of being 12 hour baby sitters, which in the end made my decision easier to quit because if i was only going to be working on the labor and delivery floors in the summer and babysitting all winter, then i would rather be babysitting my child at home then sitting with someone i didn't even know and doing that for 12 hours, 3x a week. But anywho... all in all it has worked out great! I am still going to school online at Weber, and when i do get into the nursing program, i will be able to just drop Hadlee off at my moms for the 2 hours that i have to drive up to Weber twice a week. We are living in our cute little itty bitty apartment with ugly green carpet still, and we are crammed, but doing fine. :) Sometimes after we have put Hadlee to bed at night, me and Andrew sit and look online at houses we want some day. haha We for surely do not want to live here in Provo. Its really not our cup of, shall i say Hot cocoa? Not to mention it is WAY to crowded, and the attitude down here is a little snooty pa tooty. The traffic is also horrible. You really have to have a high tolerance to live down here forever.
